Hot drop biscuits and sweet potato muffins accompany all of our lunch selections, which range from light to hearty. Start with clam chowder, soup, or salad, followed by a main course such as Brunswick Stew made from young fowl and garden vegetables. Or, try a grilled Portobello mushroom stuffed with spinach and herbed goat’s cheese—all on top of a large mixed green salad.
Who says salad isn’t a meal? Our large mixed green salad with goat’s cheese, red onion, fresh berries, spicy pecans and grilled chicken will change their mind. Still hungry? Go for our famous Ruben sandwich, a heavenly new creation by our chef, made with piles of corned beef, sauerkraut & melted Swiss cheese
on a house made marble rye bread and served with a garden salad. If that doesn’t fill you up, we don’t know what will.
On Saturdays and Sundays, our brunch menu features delicious pecan waffles with farmer sausage, crab meat omelette with cheddar cheese, and other delectable choices, including the old stand by, eggs, sausage, fried potatoes, fresh fruit and spiced apples.
We love celebrating life’s milestones and are ready to help plan and host yours. We have a small function dinner menu for groups of over 14 guests, and can accommodate up to 75 guests for weddings. The beautiful gardens and historic surroundings at the former schoolhouse and the Baufeldt family home are the perfect setting for your ceremony and photos.
